The Guest of Honor for the 2025 UNCBAA Alumni Reunion Weekend is Matt Savage!

We are pleased to welcome Matt, percussion instructor and former Assistant Director of University Bands, back home to Chapel Hill this year. Join us this November 7-8 for Reunion Weekend!

Alumni Reunion Weekend Overview

2025 Alumni Reunion Weekend Packages. Performer, non-performer plus football, and non-performer. The performer package is the best value and includes a pre-game meal at Lenoir Dining Hall, as well as a ticket to the game in the band section, for just $25 or $15 for U.N.C.B.A.A./Carolina Alumni Association members. The non-performer package includes a pre-game meal at Lenoir and a non-band section football ticket for a total of $110, or $90 for U.N.C.B.A.A./Carolina Alumni Association members. The non-performer package includes a pre-game meal at Lenoir for $30, or $20 for U.N.C.B.A.A./Carolina Alumni Association members. Package add-ons: Tickets for the Friday Night Social at Speakeasy Carrboro are $10 each. Additional pre-game meal tickets are $20 each, max of 4 per registrant. Additional football tickets are $85 each, max of 4 per registrant. Performers can purchase a non-band section football ticket for $70. The quarter zip, which is required attire for performers, is $35.

Friday Night Social

Speakeasy Carrboro (100 E Main St, Carrboro, NC 27510)  | November 7 | 6-9 p.m.

Join us as we kickoff the 2025 UNC Bands Alumni Reunion Weekend with a casual social at Speakeasy Carrboro.

  • If you wish to attend the Friday Night Social, tickets can be added to your registration for an additional $10. Guests are more than welcome to join!
  • Your registration includes one drink ticket that can be redeemed for beer, wine, or soda at the bar. Light appetizers will also be available.
  • This event is open to everyone, but those planning to drink alcohol must show their ID at the bar.

Saturday Pre-Game Meal / Gameday

November 8

Whether you want to relive your glory days of performing with the Pride of the ACC or just relax and catch up with past friends, the Saturday gameday experience is sure to hold something for everyone.

  • This year we will host our pre-game meal at Lenoir Dining Hall, where you can relax in a climate-controlled environment and catch up with fellow alumni. Guest tickets for the pre-game meal are $20 and can be purchased through the registration page.
  • Options:
    • Performer: Includes the typical gameday experience and the opportunity to perform with the Marching Tar Heels during pre-game and in the stands
    • Non-Performer: Includes access to the Saturday pre-game meal and the opportunity to purchase guest football and Saturday pre-game meal tickets
    • IMPORTANT: You must purchase either a performer or non-performer package to have access to purchase football tickets and other add-on items.
  • Gameday schedules will be released as we get closer to the game.

Frequently Asked Questions

Performer package registration closes on October 10; full registration closes on October 27.

Event times are TBD and will be announced once the game kickoff time becomes available.

You will receive football tickets and your quarter zip when you check in either at the Indoor Practice Facility or Lenoir Dining Hall (time TBD).

Performers: The UNCBAA quarter zip is your gameday uniform. You can purchase one on the registration page if you don’t already have one. We ask that you wear the UNCBAA quarter zip over your clothing during any combined performance times (dependent on the weather). YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PERFORM WITHOUT ONE. Non-Performers: Your best Carolina gear! Go Heels!

Attendees are responsible for their own parking. Check out UNC’s gameday parking information to learn more.

All football tickets for non-performers and guests will be in Section 212. If you purchase football tickets and want to be seated next to another registrant, please email bands@alumni.unc.edu with the primary registrant from each party.

We will not be joining the Carolina Alumni Association for their tailgate this year and will instead host a pre-game meal at Lenoir Dining Hall where you can relax in a climate-controlled environment as you catch up with fellow alumni. Guest tickets for the pre-game meal are $20 and can be purchased through the registration page.
